DEA MATE Act, Act 124 - Implementing a New Pain Management Patient Experience and Local Anesthesia Update
Six CE credits appropriate for dentists, hygienists, dental assistants and EFDAs.
Educational Methods: lecture, powerpoint and discussion
The lecture will feature new approaches and methodology to improve the value and outcomes of pain management during a patient's care journey. Participants also will learn the most recent improvements in devices, agents and equipment including updates in local anesthesia. The course will satisfy the Act 124 CE requirement for dentists with a DEA registration and provide 6 hours toward the one-time 8-hour requirement established by the DEA MATE Act of 2022.
Presented by: Sean G. Boynes, DMD, a dentist anesthesiologist who currently serves as vice president of Government Growth and Innovation at Avesis. Dr. Boynes has a long career of studying and implementing research and technology to better decrease the pain experience of dentistry. Dr. Boynes has no relevant financial relationships to disclose.
