Medical Emergencies w Conscious Sedation, General Anesthesia

Medical Emergencies Encountered with Conscious Sedation and General Anesthesia
Six CE credits recommended for dentists, hygienists, assistants, EFDAs and all office personnel.
A team approach to preparation for medical emergencies ensures that all members of the dental team are prepared to handle emergency situations effectively. Through lecture and emergency case review, participants will improve their recognition and understanding of medical emergencies in the dental office setting.
Credits can be applied toward the hours needed to renew an unrestricted permit and a restricted permit I. The 6 credit hours earned will satisfy the State Board of Dentistry (SBOD) requirement that non-permit holder licensees who maintain an office in which general anesthesia, deep sedation or conscious sedation is administered shall complete 5 hours of SBOD-approved courses related to the modality of anesthesia that is administered in the office.
Presented by: R. John Brewer, NREMT-P, has more than 30 years experience in EMS and works as a dental anesthesia assistant in several oral surgery and dental offices.
