What are the continuing dental education requirements for license renewal?
An applicant shall complete the following continuing education credit hours during the preceding biennial period:
- Dentists: 30 hours
- Dental Hygienists: 20 hours
- Expanded Function Dental Assistants: 10 hours
For those dentists with unrestricted or restricted Level I permits, 15 of the 30 CE hours must be in anesthesia-related courses. For dentists who are non-permit holders, but use the services of an itinerant anesthesia provider with an unrestricted or restricted level I permit, five of the 30 CE hours must be in an anesthesia-related course.
