When administering nitrous oxide, must the dentist be in the same room, or just in the facility?

If the dentist is administering nitrous oxide, he or she must be in the room monitoring. If a certified registered nurse anesthetist is administering nitrous oxide, direct on-premise supervision is required, and the dentist assumes full responsibility for the performance of the certified registered nurse anesthetist.
