Attendees will get a through update of the important drug and supplement issues noted in the most recent scientific publications and mainstream media, that are relevant and important to dental practice. Hot button topics include relevant FDA drug approvals of 2022-23; the development of therapeutic drugs to treat COVID infections; antibiotic stewardship and treatment of odontogenic infections; the latest published AHA guidelines for premedication; America's fentanyl addiction; medical marijuana and health benefits of the top 12 vitamins/supplements.
Presented by: Richard L. Wynn, PhD, Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore. He is the lead author and chief editor of Drug Information Handbook for Dentistry, now in its 24th edition, published by LexiComp, Inc.
