PA's State of Dentistry, Opioids (Act 124) Medical Marijuana

PA's State of Dentistry - 3 hours of CE Credit
Helen M. Hawkey, Executive Director for the PA Coalition for Oral Health, will be joined by panelists, Shahram (Sean) Shamloo, DMD, Chief Dental Office, PA Department of Human Services; David K. Kelley, MD, MPA, Chief Medical Officer, and the Public Health Dental Director for the PA Department of Health, Jonise A. McDaniel, DDS, to discuss the current state of oral health in Pennsylvania and the initiatives to address challenges.

Opioid Addiction, Proper Prescribing Practices and Pain Management Alternatives (Act 124) - 2 hours of CE Credit
Lecture will fulfill the PA Act 124 CE requirement for PA licensed dentists with a DEA registration. Also will count toward the one-time, 8-hour, DEA MATE Act CE requirement. Course material also is appropriate for hygienists, dental assistants and EFDAs.
Presented by: Richard L. Wynn, BSPharm, MS, PhD, Professor Emeritus of Pharmacololgy at the Dental School, University of Maryland, Baltimore, and lead author and chief editor of the Drug Information Handbook for Dentistry since its inception.

Medical Marijuana Up-to-Date Reports - 1 hour of CE Credit
New data is available from the states that have approved both medical use and recreational use of marijuana. The new information that is of interest to the dental health care community will be shared.

Cancellation policy: A refund, less a 10% administrative fee, will be issued if the registration is cancelled in writing seven days prior to the program you are attending. Refunds are not issued for no shows.
