Online, Self-Study CE Helpful Tips
- Before you access the course, add the web page https://learn.padental.org/topclass/ as an allowed site under pop-up blockers. For assistance, Google instructions to add an allowed website for the web browser you use to access the internet. Instructions also are available at the bottom of the Continuing Education page on PDA's website.
- After you address the pop-up blockers, and are ready to start the course, go to www.padental.org/onlinece. Sign in with your username and password. Click Go To Your Learning Center and launch the course.
- At the Congratulations You Passed screen, close the internet window (tab) that displays the name of the course. Instructions and screen shots are available at the bottom of the Continuing Education page on PDA's website.
- The certificate will be saved in your Learning Center. To access your Learning Center, go to www.padental.org/onlinece. Sign in with your username and password. Click Go To Your Learning Center. Click the word Completed to see the list of courses you completed. Click View Certificate.
DEA MATE Act Training -- Understanding the Disease of Substance Use Disorder - Substance Use Disorders (SUDs) are common and destructive in our society. This course discusses developments in the neurophysiology and treatment of common SUDs as well as the underlying mental health disorders associated with addiction.
Upon completion of this lecture, participants should be able to:
- Discuss the neurophysiology and neurotransmitter basis for SUDs.
- Describe the mental health disorders that predispose to SUDs.
Course counts toward credits needed to fulfill Pennsylvania's Act 124 CE requirement and the one-time DEA MATE Act CE requirement.
