Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee (DEIC) was officially formed in April, 2022, after a year of working as the Diversity Inclusion Task Force. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion will be front and center in our efforts to provide value to our members and improve oral health for the public.
The duties of the DEIC are:
- To promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) best practices among the PDA membership.
- To outline realistic DEI goals and outcomes and provide actionable steps to achieve them.
- To assist the Board and staff in institutionalizing policies that support DEI for all members.
- To annually evaluate and report to the membership the effectiveness of ongoing DEI efforts and adapting as needed.
